Moral debating on the sale of human organs and the compensation system for human organs - under regulating the sale of human organs
Jeong Chang-Rok

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to review the ethical controversy in reference to the sales of human organs, critically examine the system and propose an alternative to the current order under regulation the sale of human organs. For the morality debates on transplantation and sales of organs, first this paper will arrange former researches. Could the donation of living organs be justified from an ownership viewpoint particularly according to The Gift Principle asserted by Andrew Kimbrell? Then, ethical review shall be carried out on the compensation system of human organs from a perspective considering organs as public property. The law amendments and organization & administration efficiency of The National Organ Transplant Management Center are inspected in order to examine how these moral views are reflected on legislation & systems. Further to this, we will refer to the guidelines of Korean Red Cross Blood Services for the research. In my opinion, blood has similarities with organs. The remuneration services are presently carried out in Korea such as movie tickets or umbrellas in return for blood donation or you might refuse those if you don"t want to get any reward for organ donation. No one blames it is immoral to be compensated for the blood donation. Thus the suitable rewards should be paid likewise for the organ donation and which should not be criticized to be unethical either. The similar nature of blood & organ donation could be ethically justified as a ground of compensation for the donation of organs.
